At Paris Design Week, the ‘New Store’ by Nieuwe Instituut Rotterdam, was up for a 4th edition. The New Store presents a shop that sustains rather than capitalises natural resources. It rethinks the concept of ‘products’ and explores alternative and non-extractive forms of exchange.
After realising its initial display structures in 2023 during Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, its components were entirely disassembled, stored and reused for a second and third edition at Milan Design Week and in Rotterdam. In September this year a 4th edition took place at Paris Design week, for which we reconfigured the shop interior once more, this time serving the topic ‘Fashion Farming’
